Zootopia 2 is set to stream on Disney+ on March 11, after a 105-day theatrical window. The animated film, which broke box office records and grossed over $1.85 billion during the holidays last year, is the highest-grossing animated MPA title of all time and ranks as the eighth highest-grossing movie ever. The sequel is critically acclaimed, having recently won a BAFTA for Best Animated Feature and is nominated for the same award at the Oscars. It's also incredibly popular in China, where there was a spike in interest for purchasing venomous pit vipers after the film's release. The movie follows Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, rookie cops who find their partnership tested when they're ordered to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. They soon find themselves on the trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis. Zootopia 2 introduces new characters like Gary De’Snake, Nibbles, and quokka therapist Dr. Fuzzby, while also welcoming back a herd of characters from the Oscar-winning original. Director/writer Jared Bush expressed excitement about expanding the world with new cast members and surprising audiences with new adventures. But here's where it gets controversial...
