The tourbillon, a cornerstone of horological innovation, has been reimagined here. Traditionally, the balance rotates in a fixed plane, correcting timing errors in one position. ArtyA, however, tilts the axis, enabling the balance to move in a cone-like motion, effectively addressing errors in multiple positions. This innovative approach is further enhanced by the use of two tourbillons, each running in different directions, ensuring optimal performance and a unique visual spectacle.
The case of the Complexity is a masterpiece in itself, crafted from synthetic sapphire or ruby, adhering to ArtyA's signature Curvy design. The case, measuring 42mm x 48mm x 13mm, features a triple-concave middle and sapphire domes at 12 and 6 o'clock, magnifying the tourbillons' beauty. The crown, a faceted crystal masterpiece, adds to the overall aesthetic. The dial, available in Griffe and Matte finishes, showcases polished applied markers against textured bases, creating a visually captivating contrast.
The movement, Calibre Complexity-01, is a testament to ArtyA's collaboration with Purtec Sàrl, a specialist in high-complication movements. It boasts 287 components and 44 jewels, delivering a power reserve of 50 hours at 21,600vph (3Hz). The manual winding mechanism ensures a robust and shock-resistant construction, with finishes that include sandblasted plates and bridges, hand-polished bevelling, and laser shot-blasted rear.
The Complexity is a limited edition, with only nine pieces available, each individually numbered.
